Brett is the Chief Financial Officer of Knapp Properties. His responsibilities include the accounting and financial operations of Knapp Properties and its related entities. This includes the planning and implementation of financial and operational strategies, developing applicable metrics used to measure the achievement of those strategies and the development of control systems that protect the firm’s assets and accurately report financial results.
Brett has over 30 years of experience in the finance and accounting fields.
After earning his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Iowa, he went on to earn his Master of Business Administration from Iowa State University and his Master of Accounting from Drake University. Brett’s previous work experience includes the US Department of Treasury as a Bank Examiner and also in the agricultural industry as a Production and Finance Manager. Prior to joining Knapp Properties, Brett spent 13 years with a Des Moines metro area real estate company where he developed his passion for the real estate industry in Iowa.
In addition to his activities with Knapp Properties, Brett is involved with the Ankeny Community School District Finance Committee, Taxpayers Association of Central Iowa, the National Development Council, and participated in the Drake University Business Leadership Program.
