Jake Lundgren is the Chief Operating Officer for Knapp Properties, LC.
Jake earned a bachelor’s degree in finance with an emphasis in real estate from the University of Northern Iowa in 1998. After graduation, Jake joined R&R Realty Group as a Construction Manager. During a three-and-a-half-year tenure in this position, Jake managed tenant improvement projects of many scopes and sizes. He also gained valuable knowledge of the construction process and learned computer-aided drafting.
In December of 2001, Jake joined Knapp Properties, Inc., as a Commercial Property Manager. This role included property management of over 2 million square feet of office, retail, and warehouse space. Jake also assumed the construction management responsibilities for all tenant improvement projects as well as space-planning duties.
In October of 2020, Jake accepted his current role of Chief Operating Officer. He currently oversees all aspects of the brokerage and property management departments, including commercial properties, residential, and homeowners’ associations. In addition to managing the 2 million square feet owned by Knapp and their partners, Jake and his department also manage over 2 million square feet for third-party owners.
Aside from his activities at Knapp Properties, Jake serves on the Economic Development Board for Polk City and is on the board of the Neighborhood Development Corporation in Des Moines. He is also a member of BOMA and IREM and has attained the designation of Certified Property Manager and Certified Commercial Investment Member.
